Hang En Cave 

Hang En Adventure Cave Camp is easy- to- moderate for any guests who thinks themselves suitable and who have a passion in joining many outdoor activities. And it’s moerate- to – hard for guests who did not have experience in trekking before. Please endure your health ready to take part in these activities during this adventure.

Walking 22km through tropical forests, mountain and rocky formations.
Crossing through rivers: knee deeply 30 times and cross over 10-50m river.
Sling up to 550m (from valley to the top of mountain and vice versa)
Walking and climbing in caves about 4 km

En cave is a part of the Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Part and you can explore underground on its massive chamber with plenty of darting swifts. En Cave is famous for its natural beauty and its wild origin. If you have a chance to visit Viet Nam, En cave should be one of the must- see natural wonders you visit, as  En Cave is regarded as the world’s 3^rd largest cave in the world. Its size will probably make you surprising and camping in the campsite located near a lazy river will give you the greatest experience you’ve ever had. Its beauty from stunning fossils to parts of the caves over 300 million years old will leave you speechless. And you will have the most beautiful picturesque from every corner of the cave.
                  
The other famous destination in the ethnic minority called Ban Doong Village located amongst the limestone mountains will leave strong impressions. In addition, the beauty from pristine, river crossings will make you want to stop this moment forever.
 En cave is not only famous in Viet Nam but also all over the world. It was mentioned in a lot of news or magazines such as National Geographic, The New York Times, Lonely Planet, Daily Mail UK and Good Morning America and specially in the blockbuster film distributed by Waner Bros Entertainment from Hollywood called Pan in 2015.

For safety and reservation, Decision 47/VPUBND-VX (dated January 9, 2015) of the Government of Quang Binh Province grants Phong Nha Adventure Tours as the only operator to bring tourists to Hang En Cave.
Note: Unexpected changes on itinerary may happen in case of the bad weather conditions.

DAY 1: Phong Nha- Ban Doong Village- Hang En
Your first day begins in Phong Nha by pickup from your local hotel between 8:00 am and 8:30 am and a short move to Phong Nha travel. Make sure that you learn all about safety measures collect your gear and sign put Release Form before passing through the National Park to get access to the trailhead in about 45 minutes. And then, we will leave the path behind the tropical forest at 10:00 am.  
we will start our journey with a steep jungle hill and a refreshing river at the bottom. Continue to trek through rich primary forest to get the Ban Doong minority village and a hot cup of tea will be prepared for you here. You will make a stop for lunch at around 12:30- 1:00pm. Take a rest, enjoy the picnic lunch and take some photos to restore this moment. After the time for break and lunch, our journey carries on by turning back to the jungle, pass through rivers and streams, walk along the river valley until you will see Han En located near the horizon.
Enter and discover En cave at around 3:00 pm, and then you will have time to take a break while the porter team prepares to set up camp near the beach within the cave. The final part of the adventure on the first day, we will pass through the cave to reach the breathtaking exit and this moment- standing near the exit- should be an unforgettable experience in the rest of your life. A great scene you would probably see through film Pan if you saw this film before. After that, we will pass through the dry passage to return to camp to the most highest viewpoint where you can see fossils over 300 million years old. Then, it’s the time for you to relax and enjoy the refreshing feelings by swimming in the natural pool. After that, time for lunch that is prepared by porter team combined with wine and sounds of swifts overhead.
                                  

                                  

DAY 2:  En Cave - Phong Nha

Wake up at 8: 00 am to have a breakfast prepared and set up your belongings. At 9:00, we will start to depart camp to leave Hang En. And it’s the time for you to enjoy the wild beauty of the entrance that is mostly hidden behind the jungle. At around 12:00 to 1:00 pm, we will have time to enjoy lunch together and get ready for the journey home. Then, on the way to return Phong Nha, we’ll need to trek along a shady road through the river valley in an hour. After that, around 2:00pm to 4:00 pm, we will reach to the pickup point and turn back to Phong Nha. Our adventure will end at around 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
                                 

 
WE WILL PROVIDE
·        Camping equipment: tent, Sleeping bag, camp light, mattresses, pillow.
·        Caving and safety tools: caving helmet, caving headlight and gloves.
·        Dry bag used for clothes and personal belongings except for electronics
·        Basic canvas trekking shoes used for walking: you can use your own pair or you can use ours, boots with size from 36-46 is available.
·        Meals: picnic lunches, breakfast for day 2, dinner for day 1 are prepared.
·        Experienced tour guide with professional English- speaking and safety skills.
·        All camping gear and meals will be serviced by porter team.
·        Water purifier (used only by guide and porters) and water bottle 
·        Basic camping tools with friendly natural compost toilet using western toilet seat.
·        First Aid Kid and Medical Rescue Equipment that are only applied by guides and the porter team.
·        Secure Storage Facility at Phong Nha  to store all belongings you will not carry along on way.
YOU WILL NEED
·        Preparing one long pants that is easy to dry and one long sleeved shirt to wear on your way
·        Preparing one pair of shorts and t- shirt to wear at campsite. You should bring warmer clothes in winter.
·        One pair of trekking boots using for tough formations is indispensable.
·        Gore-Tex/waterproof shoes are NOT recommended as they do not dry well (if you like  your own comfortable pair)
·        1 pair of flip flop (sandals) using while you’re in the campsite
·        1 medium- size towel and swim clothes using during swimming
·        1 -2 pairs of calf length densely woven socks. Ankle socks are not recommended.
·        Medium size bag to store for your water bottle, personal belongings and provided caving helmet during trekking
Personal items: sunglasses, hat, mosquito repellent, camera, underwear, toiletries if the time you experience this adventure is in the winter, please plus warm clothes for the evening along.
